Who is Manatha?
Manatha Funderburke Young is a wife, mother, friend, sister, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, individual and small business development coach.
She is a native of Sandy Island, South Carolina. She currently resides in Charlotte North Carolina, where she has lived for the past 17 years. Manatha is married to Frank Young, her loving and supportive husband. They have five daughters: Kimora, Brielle and Briyanna (twins), and Saniah and Janiah (twins).
Manatha is a highly sought after empowerment speaker who’s God-given passion is to inspire positive thinking, uncover gifts that lie dormant within, nurture creativity, and equip lives for greatness that will ultimately impact the world.
She is the Founder and CEO of Fruitful Living.
Education & Professional Background
Manatha has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte, NC.
During her college years, she served as an active member of AmeriCorps participating in intensive service to meet the critical needs of the community. This venture ignited her passion for helping at-risk children. It gave her the opportunity, freedom and creativity to tutor, mentor and develop enrichment programs for youth of all ages.
She has collaborated and volunteered with Boys & Girls Club, The Healthy Families Healthy Communities Conference, The Fighting Back project which addressed issues of alcohol and drug abuse, and the Harvest Center of Charlotte, NC where she has ministered the word of God to at-risk and underprivileged people.
In addition, Manatha has partnered with Peter’s Place Inc. Charlotte, North Carolina a workforce development program that utilizes a holistic approach to strengthen the economic independence of homeless and economically disadvantaged individuals and families through job readiness training. She has led wellness seminars and participated in their “Hope in Action-A Community Forum Talking about Education and Employment Opportunities.”
Manatha received her ministerial license from The Park Ministries (Formerly University Park Baptist Church) under the leadership of Bishop Claude R. Alexander, Jr. on March 31, 2001, she served in the following capacities: Young Kingdom Citizens (YKC) Youth Church leader, and Youth Prayer leader. She has had the privilege of speaking at many Youth Conferences, Woman’s Empowerment Conferences, and Congregations boldly declaring the word of God.
Manatha previously worked in corporate America as a Marketing professional for several years where she planned, organized, and executed marketing campaigns with the goal of increasing product and service awareness, sales, profits and brand loyalty. She has acted as the point persons for outside, inside and partner sales teams. Her wealth of knowledge and myriad of experiences has established her in the industry as organic voice of truth and authority for authentic individual and small business development through motivation.
Manatha is a proud member of Moms In Prayer International (Formerly Moms In Touch) where she serves as a group leader in her neighborhood and community. Moms In Prayer is an interdenominational, nonprofit organization where two or more moms gather together to pray for children and schools.
