Truth to Anchor Your Week: “Rooted Before Rising”

Scripture: “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water…” - Jeremiah 17:7–8

Reflection: There are seasons when God calls us to be planted before He allows us to rise. These are the quiet seasons, the ones where nothing looks like it’s moving, yet everything is being strengthened beneath the surface. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is stay rooted, stay teachable, and stay surrendered.

Real-Life Connection: We often want the fruit before the foundation. But God is far more invested in who you’re becoming than what you’re producing. He builds you from the inside out, in the unseen places, in the moments no one applauds, in the days when you’re simply choosing to trust Him again.

Takeaway: Your “not yet” is not a punishment. It’s preparation. God is anchoring you so you can rise without breaking.

Prayer: Lord, help me trust the work You are doing beneath the surface. Strengthen my roots, steady my heart, and anchor me in Your truth. Amen.
